Our Creed
Because Carolina Bible Institute & Seminary is a conservative school, we feel it is important that we make a statement which goes in more detail concerning our beliefs in certain areas. We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Word of God. We believe that unless there is justification in the Scriptures themselves to interpret words or passages figuratively or spiritually, every word should be interpreted according to its historical, grammatical meaning. We believe God inspired the words of Scripture and not just the writers. We believe the Holy Spirit chose the individual writers of Scripture because of who they were, according to what He wanted recorded and that the Holy Spirit superintended their writings so that every word they wrote were the exact words that He intended to be written. We believe that God has preserved His written Word so that in the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts we indeed have the very Word of God. We believe God created the entire universe in six literal days just as the first chapter of Genesis states. We believe that man must temper his belief in every area of life according to a right exegesis of the Word of God, for all Scripture is without error in all of its statements.

CBIS has students from different denominations as well as different theological positions. We require all our students to be Christians, but we do not require that they agree with our theological positions. We do expect our students to base their beliefs upon the Word of God. Though our interpretation of Scripture may be different, we must agree that the Scriptures are the only authority. All our students are respected regardless of their theological position. No student is discriminated against because of their belief. We do believe the Scriptures admonish us to "believe the same things."

The following statement of faith has been approved as our creed:

The Carolina Bible Institute & Seminary Creed
"We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God (in its original form); the creation of man by the direct creation of God; that God is a Trinity manifest as Father, Son and Holy Ghost; in the incarnation and virgin birth of the Son, Jesus Christ; His vicarious atonement for the sins of all mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross; the resurrection of His body from the tomb. His ascension back to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father as our advocate; His power to save whosoever will believe upon Him; the new birth through regeneration by the Holy Spirit; and that the Holy Spirit indwells all Christians and baptizes them into the body of Christ at the time of regeneration; and the bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth to establish His Millennial Kingdom."
